Privacy Policy

This is a draft policy for Qareer's pre-launch waitlist and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Treat it as a good-faith starting point, not a final legal document — update it once it has been reviewed against the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and any other jurisdictions Qareer operates in.

1. Introduction

Qareer ("we", "us") is building an AI career companion. This policy explains what information we collect when you join our waitlist, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

2. Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • Your full name
  • The option you select when asked which best describes you (for example, "Still in school" or "Already Working")

We do not currently use cookies or tracking scripts on this site.

3. How we use your information

  • To confirm your spot on the waitlist and send you a welcome email
  • To notify you when your spot opens up or Qareer launches
  • To tailor your onboarding and early product experience to where you are in your career journey

We do not sell your information to third parties.

4. How we store and protect your information

Your waitlist information is stored in a Supabase database. Row-level security is enabled on this data, and it is only reachable through a private, server-side key — never exposed to the browser or to the public.

5. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following providers to operate the waitlist:

  • Supabase — stores waitlist signups
  • Resend — sends the waitlist welcome email

Each provider only receives the information necessary to perform its function.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information from the waitlist
  • Withdraw consent to future emails at any time

7. Data retention

We keep your waitlist information for as long as the waitlist is open, plus a reasonable period afterward, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

8. Children's privacy

Qareer's waitlist is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Qareer moves from waitlist to launch. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
